The payment date for the first installment of the 13th Salary for INSS (National Institute of Social Security) beneficiaries, that is, retirees and pensioners in the country, was recently announced. This long-awaited benefit will benefit thousands of Brazilian citizens.

However, the first installment of the Christmas bonus will not be paid in advance this year, as was done in previous years. The calendar released shows that the payment date has been confirmed for August 25, with no changes yet planned.

It is important to remember that the amount paid in the first installment will correspond to only half of the benefit without the due discounts. And the second installment, which was also scheduled to be paid from November, will refer to the remaining half and may include deductions, such as IR (Income Tax).
