The big change is the use of the Auxílio Brasil card in markets and pharmacies, in addition to 24-hour banks
The new Auxílio Brasil social program cards, replacing the old Bolsa Família card, still valid, were sent by post to beneficiaries across the country at the end of June, according to the Ministry of Citizenship
Do I need to request a new card?
Beneficiaries do not need to apply for the card. It is distributed free of charge to those who already participate in the program. If the card does not arrive at the residence, the beneficiary can continue receiving the benefit with the Bolsa Família card. Delivery will be made by post to the family's address indicated in the Single Registry
In June, 3.2 million chip cards were issued. Firstly, the 6.6 million families that joined the program from November 2021 and already receive the benefit in the Social Savings modality will receive it. Municipalities that do not have or have few Caixa payment channels will also have priority in receiving.
Password for the new Auxílio Brasil Card
When receiving the new Auxílio Brasil card, the password to be used can be registered in the Caixa Tem application. To do this, simply select the Auxílio Brasil option and then Create card password.
Furthermore, the card is sent along with all important information, such as:

Service channels of the Ministry of Citizenship and Caixa.
According to the Ministry of Citizenship, the purpose of the bank card is to modernize the method of paying benefits, as the beneficiary can use it to make purchases in markets, pharmacies or any establishment that accepts the debit function, or withdraw part or the entire benefit at Caixa, Lottery and 24-hour Bank branches. Furthermore, chip technology makes the card more secure and reduces the risk of fraud.
