The PIS 2022 Salary Allowance is available to approximately 107 thousand workers who have still withdrawn the benefit in the amount of up to R$ 1,212. According to Caixa Econômica Federal, the amount to be withdrawn is R$ 81.8 million. The deadline for requesting the money is December 29, 2022.

Congestion of the service channel occurred between October 18th and 19th due to the high demand for the service. On Monday (18), Caixa paid another additional batch of PIS allowances for a total of 1.1 million people. The Ministry of Labor and Social Security (MTP) recommends that users try to make calls to number 158 between 7am and 9am, or from 5pm to 7pm.

Payment of Salary Allowance

Payment is released annually according to the schedule approved by Codefat (Worker Support Fund Deliberative Council). This year, deposits for the base year 2020 were made in February and March. However, for those who were unable to withdraw the funds, they have until December 29th.

Every year, many workers fail to redeem their assets because they do not know their rights.

The batch, released by Caixa on Monday, the 18th, includes allowances that have undergone review, that were requested in court and also amounts that workers did not withdraw within the scheduled calendar dates (years from 2016 to 2020) .

Who can withdraw the Salary Allowance?

The following employees can withdraw funds:

  • Professional with at least five years of registration with PIS;
  • Employees with an average monthly salary of up to two minimum wages in the base year;
  • People who have performed paid work for a Legal Entity for at least 30 consecutive days or in the base year of the calculation;
  • Those who have their data correctly reported by the employer in the Annual Social Information List (RAIS).

Salary Allowance Calculation

The calculation for payment of the salary bonus is made in relation to the number of months worked in the base year. It is 1/12 of the minimum wage valid on the day of payment, multiplied by the number of months worked in the corresponding year, rounded up.

If the employee worked the entire year, he will receive the full amount. If he worked one month in the year, the value is R$ 101. For fractions of 15 days or more, 30 days are considered.

How to receive the PIS 2022 bonus?

The employee can check the bonus by calling 158, via the Digital Work Card App or via the website portal.gov.br

Withdrawals are made at Caixa. For those who have a bank account, the money is deposited directly into the account. For those who do not have an account, the amount will be credited to Digital Social Savings, operated by the Caixa Tem App.

For those who have a Citizen Card, withdrawals can be made at Caixa ATMs, lottery outlets or Caixa Aqui correspondents.
