Unforeseen events always happen, but the problem is when they accidentally become public. This is what happened with the Semi, Tesla's electric truck, just weeks before its scheduled launch, the truck appears to have dismantled on a road in California, during a possible test.

The vehicle that should begin distribution in December – and should debut in the Pepsi fleet – appeared in a video from an American truck driver who captured the situation on camera. In the video, the Semi appears disassembled, probably caused by a mechanical problem.

It has not yet been possible to say why this happened, as the situation is observed from a distance. But the possibilities range from a system failure to a dead battery. However, Tesla needs to assess whether it was an occasional or manufacturing problem, as the company is on the eve of launch, and if the vehicles are distributed under these conditions, the Semi could be quickly rejected and experience future sales difficulties.

Elon Musk's company has not yet specified exactly how many Semi models will be produced and distributed, but it is estimated that Pepsi has around 100 trucks on order. The electric truck promises a range of 805 km and can reach 0 to 100 km/h in around 20 seconds with its 37 tons.

In addition to being electric, with low energy consumption (2 kWh per 1.6 km driven and with a charger capable of restoring 70% of autonomy in 30 minutes), the Semi is also autonomous and capable of traveling without any type of driver. Power and torque data have not yet been released.
