TikTok's current value, according to consultancy data, is US$ 65.69 billion. Facebook, in turn, experienced complications in 2022, losing billions in market value. According to Brand Finance, Facebook's current market price is around US$ 59 billion.
TikTok, thanks to its short videos, trends and dances, has become popular mainly among young audiences. Due to the explosive success of the network in the world, it will be difficult for Facebook to regain its position as the most valuable network.
Valuable networks beyond Facebook and TikTok
The networks that are in the Top 5 most valuable in the world, in addition to TikTok and Facebook, are WeChat, Instagram and LinkedIn. WeChat is not very popular here in Brazil, but it is the most important messaging tool used in China. Its operation is similar to WhatsApp and Telegram. In the year 2022, the App suffered a sharp decline in market value, with a drop of 19%. Now, the value of the platform is estimated at US$ 50.2 billion.
Instagram and LinkedIn showed satisfactory results and grew significantly in 2022. Instagram has a value of US$ 47.4 billion, with an impressive increase of 42%. LinkedIn grew by 49% and reached an estimated value of US$ 15.5 billion.
The TikTok App
The TikTok App allows users to create short videos of up to 60 seconds that usually have background music and can be sped up, slowed down or edited using filters.
To create a music video with the App, users can choose background music from various genres and record a 15-second video with adjustable speed before uploading it to share with other TikTok users or other social platforms.
