On the same day that it was decided to suspend the Auxílio Brasil loan for 24 hours, Caixa Econômica Federal carried out a live broadcast on YouTube to clarify doubts about the loan request at Caixa Tem.

Amidst the controversy of recent weeks, the consigned at Caixa has already been the subject of a technical opinion from the TCU (Federal Audit Court) recommending the cancellation of the consigned due to risks of loss to the institution, periods of instability due to high demand and the process for analysis of orders taking longer than expected.

According to Caixa, until last Friday (21), more than R$ 2.1 billion had been lent to more than 900 thousand families from Auxílio Brasil. According to Caixa technicians, the high number of requests meant that the bank had to adjust the details together with Dataprev and, for this reason, the loan was unavailable from 6pm on Friday until 7am on Monday (24).

In addition to the various problems that have been registered at Caixa Tem since the introduction of the consigned loan, Caixa was unable to analyze all requests within the two-day period established by the Ministry of Citizenship regulations.

As a result, amid these adjustments, some approved loan requests were put back into processing so that Caixa could re-analyze the request.

“If you do not hear back within two business days, you can try to get your loan again as we were unable to complete the review within the deadline”, informed the bank.

According to the bank, beneficiaries who requested the loan and spent more than 48 hours with the request being processed or canceled will have to redo the request. According to the bank, around 200,000 people fit into this group.

How do I redo the payroll order at Caixa Tem?

To re-apply for Auxílio Brasil, the beneficiary must access the Caixa Tem app or look for a lottery, a Caixa Aqui correspondent or a Caixa branch. During the live broadcast, Caixa explained how to try for credit again through Caixa Tem; See the step by step:

  1. Access the App and log in by providing your CPF and password;
  2. Go to the Consigned Aid option;
  3. Afterwards, select Simulate and Hire and follow the instructions on the screen.

At lottery outlets, the beneficiary must present an original identification document (RG and CPF) and the Auxílio Brasil card, Social Card or Caixa account card.

If the beneficiary goes to a Caixa Aqui correspondent, they must present the original documents (RG and CPF) and proof of address (water, electricity, telephone bill, etc.) without having to present the benefit card for families who have not yet have a physical card. The same documents must be presented if the beneficiary seeks assistance at a Caixa branch.

Auxílio Brasil consignment approved, what now?

When checking the status of your loan on Caixa Tem, if the app shows the credit status as Approved, simply wait up to 2 business days to receive the funds in your account.

The deposit will be made into the same account in which the beneficiary receives Auxílio Brasil and to check whether the money has already been credited to the account, the holder can consult the bank statement. The CR CONSIG message indicates that the loan money has been released into the account.

The beneficiary who receives Auxílio Brasil at Caixa Tem can view the bank statement directly in the application. If the beneficiary requested the loan through Caixa Tem, but is receiving the benefit installments in another account, he or she will need to see the statement of that account to which the benefit is being paid, as that is where the money will be released.

How to appeal the canceled consignment?

After the processing time has elapsed, the credit request may be considered approved or canceled by Caixa. If, at the end of the analysis, the beneficiary receives the result Cancelled, Caixa recommends that he confirms that he meets all the requirements to request the consignment and, in this case, that he tries to request the contract again through Caixa Tem.

According to Caixa, the main reasons for canceling the Auxílio Brasil loan are:

  • CPF with problems with the Federal Revenue Service;
  • Auxílio Brasil benefit expected to end;
  • Not having responded to the call made by the Ministry of Citizenship;
  • Have not yet received 3 installments of the benefit;
  • Not receiving the benefit into account.

If there is a problem with the CPF, the beneficiary can check the situation on the Federal Revenue website and see what needs to be done to regularize the document.

The beneficiary, summoned by the Ministry of Citizenship for clarification, simply needs to go to a CadÚnico service point and update the necessary data to request the loan again.

The beneficiary who receives Auxílio Brasil in less than 90 days will be able to request the loan again after receiving the three installments of the benefit.

Finally, if the beneficiary does not receive Auxílio Brasil in their account, they can update their CadÚnico data so that an account can be opened in the holder's name. Thus, after receiving the first installment in the account, the beneficiary will be able to take out the payroll loan.
