The Auxílio Brasil payroll loan was released last Tuesday (11) and more than 700 thousand families have already taken out a loan with direct payroll deduction. Caixa Econômica Federal released more than R$ 1.8 billion in just four days.

Auxílio Brasil users who requested money on the Caixa Tem App can check whether the loan was approved. The loan application is completely digital, from contracting to the movement of amounts through the Caixa App.

How do I check if my loan has been approved?

On October 11th, Caixa Econômica Federal opened the contracting of payroll loans at Caixa Tem. The money can be requested by families registered with Auxílio Brasil, in addition to elderly people and people with disabilities who receive the Continuous Payment Benefit (BPC). The requirements for hiring a consignee are:

  • Have received at least three installments of the benefit;
  • No end date for receiving the benefit (families subject to emancipation rules);
  • Have attended the call made by the Ministry of Citizenship for the data update process.

Families that meet the above criteria can take out a payroll loan, which can reach up to R$ 2,500, committing a maximum of 40% of the benefit to paying the installments.

The interest rate cannot exceed 3.5% per month and the beneficiary has up to 24 months to pay off the loan. See the fees charged by banks that are offering payroll loans:

The loan request can be made by clicking on the option "Loan", and then in “Simulate and Hire”. Select the option “Consigned” and the application will display the amount available for contracting and the number of installments that will be deducted from the benefit.

After completing the loan contract in the app, just wait for the analysis and monitor the progress of the request through the Loans conversation, in the Caixa Tem menu.

According to Caixa, the deadline for analyzing the loan at Caixa Tem is up to 48 hours and the result will be sent via a message to the beneficiaries.

Was the Auxílio Brasil loan approved? And now?

During the information analysis process, the loan at Caixa Tem is described as being processed. As soon as the status changes to approved, the bank will inform you that the money will go into the same account where the monthly installment of Auxílio Brasil is deposited within 48 business hours after approval.

However, if the loan is approved at the time of closing the payroll, Caixa emphasizes that the deadline for releasing the amounts follows the specific calendar published by the Ministry of Citizenship.

The same deadline for receiving money into the account must be applied by other banks (Banco Pan, Pincred, QI Tech/Meu Tudo) according to the rule published in the Payroll Credit Regulation Ordinance.
