Beneficiaries of the Auxílio Brasil and Auxílio Gás dos Brasileiros programs can now withdraw R$ 712 for the month of December. The first group has already received the amount in their account.

The two benefits are paid to families in situations of social vulnerability in the country, with Auxílio Brasil being paid every month, while Vale-Gás payments are made bimonthly. Deposits are made by Caixa Econômica Federal.

The payment calendar for Auxílio Brasil and Vale-Gás share the same dates. Deposits take place according to the final number of the Social Identification Number (NIS).

Payments are generally finalized on the last business day of the month. In December, the calendar was brought forward due to the Christmas and New Year holidays.

The amount currently paid by Auxílio Brasil is R$ 600 for the more than 21 million families that make up the program.

However, this value of R$ 600 was only possible after the approval of the Proposed Amendment to the Constitution (PEC) by the National Congress in mid-2022, valid until December.

Those with a monthly per capita income of up to R$ 105 or from R$ 105 to R$ 210 are eligible, which represents extreme poverty and poverty. To receive it, families must be regularly registered with CadÚnico (Cadastro Único).

The value of the Gas Voucher for this month of December is R$ 112 for families with a monthly income of up to half the minimum wage (R$ 606).

The amount paid for the program was also changed by the PEC. Initially, the amount paid was 50% of the average value of the 13kg cylinder. From 2023 onwards, the benefit should return to its usual value.
