Caixa Econômica begins releasing the last payment of R$ 600 from Auxílio Brasil on Monday, the 12th. This month, the last installment of R$ 600 will be deposited into the beneficiaries' accounts. In addition to Auxílio Brasil payments, some people will also receive Gas Voucher payments of R$ 110.

As usual, families benefiting from Auxílio Brasil receive installments for the month of December in advance due to the Christmas and New Year celebrations. Thus, instead of payments starting in the last fortnight of the month, in December families start receiving installments on December 12th.

A total of more than 21.53 million families were considered approved to receive the installment worth R$ 600. The data is from the month of November and new beneficiaries can still be added in December. In the previous calendar, the average amount paid was R$ 607.57 per family.

The new installment of the benefit will be paid from the 12th, Monday, to the group of beneficiaries with final NIS 1. However, following the new Caixa dynamics adopted in recent months, those who receive payments on Mondays can now do so. withdrawal of the amount on the previous Saturday.

Therefore, the last payment of 2022 may be available on December 10th, next Saturday. The same will happen for the group of registrants with final NIS 6, who will have the installments deposited on 12/17.

In December, the more than 21 million families in the Auxílio Brasil program will receive the last installment of R$ 600. The temporary amount began in August and during the last 5 months the beneficiaries received the additional amount of R$ 200, which is scheduled to end in December.

As for January 2023, the value of Auxílio Brasil is still undefined. This is because, so far, the Budget project that must be voted on by Congress by the end of 2022 foresees the value of the benefit at R$ 400.

On the other hand, the Lula government's transition team sent a PEC to the senate that leaves program expenses outside the spending ceiling, with the aim of maintaining R$ 600 and also paying the additional amount of R$ 150 for children up to 6 years. The PEC should be voted on in the Plenary in the coming days.
