Caixa Econômica Federal is making the payment of the penultimate calendar of R$ 600 of Auxílio Brasil in November. In November, the calendar was not brought forward and beneficiaries began receiving installments on November 17th, following the original Auxílio Brasil calendar.

The payroll for the month of November received 400 thousand new approved families, increasing from 21.13 million in October to 21.53 million beneficiaries. The average amount paid to each family in November was R$ 607.57.

The Northeast continues to be the region with the largest number of beneficiaries (9.91 million), followed by the Southeast with 6.42 million and the North with 2.58 million families served. The South and Central-West regions have 1.45 million and 1.14 million, respectively.

Although November payments are still in progress, it is now possible to see the Auxílio Brasil payment calendar for December. See the scheduled dates below.

Brazil Aid Calendar in December

As mentioned, Auxílio Brasil beneficiaries will receive the December installment a few days in advance.

This does not mean that the federal government has decided to bring forward the payment schedule, but that the Citizenship Secretariat plans the December payment schedule at the beginning of each year so that deposits take place before the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Thus, less than two weeks after the end of the November calendar on the 30th, beneficiaries will already receive the installment for the month of December, with payments starting on the 12th. See the dates for payment of the benefit in December:

  • December 12th – payment for registrants with final NIS 1;
  • December 13th – payment for registrants with final NIS 2;
  • December 14th – payment for registrants with final NIS 3;
  • December 15th – payment for registrants with final NIS 4;
  • December 16th – payment for registrants with final NIS 5;
  • December 19th – payment for registrants with final NIS 6;
  • December 20 - payment for registrants with final NIS 7;
  • December 21 - payment for registrants with final NIS 8;
  • December 22nd – payment for registrants with final NIS 9;
  • December 23 – payment for registrants with final NIS 0;

New families should also be added to the list of beneficiaries in December, as the Citizenship Secretariat states that it can clear the program's waiting list monthly.

Therefore, families included in the rules for receiving Auxílio Brasil must constantly monitor the status of their benefit request. The query can be made using the CPF of the person responsible for the family using the Auxílio Brasil or CadÚnico App.

Will the installment of R$ 600 continue in 2023?

In December, families registered with Auxílio Brasil will receive the last installment of R$ 600. The amount that has been paid since August is valid until December 2022, and is still not guaranteed to continue in 2023.

At the moment, the predicted value for Auxílio Brasil in 2023 is R$ 405, according to the draft budget communicated by the Ministry of Economy. Even with current president Jair Bolsonaro promising to keep the aid at R$ 600, the origin of the resources was not specified in the PLOA 2023.

President-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva also has promises to keep. In addition to the R$ 600 from Bolsa Família (the program should return with the name used in previous governments), Lula also promised another R$ 150 for families with children aged 0 to 6.

To finance these measures, the PT Transition Team sent last week the draft of the Transition PEC leaving R$ 175 billion outside the spending ceiling and R$ 157 billion for aid of R$ 600 and R$ 18 billion to cover the additional amount of R$ 150.
