The Government's CadÚnico (Single Registry for Social Programs) aims to record information about people who are in a situation of social vulnerability. Through it, men and women can access various aids and social benefits offered by the Federal, State and Municipal Government.
An example of this are pregnant women, who can have access to exclusive benefits. Through the Single Registry, they can get help to buy the baby's layette, through public resources.
How do I access Linen Aid?
To obtain Linen Aid for pregnant women, you must be registered with CadÚnico. And here, it is important to highlight that the benefit is not made available directly by the Federal Government.
Instead, it is necessary to seek information from the responsible institutions, such as CRAS (Social Assistance Reference Center) in your city. Or at the City Hall Social Assistance Secretariat.
However, to access this benefit, it is necessary to keep the Single Registry updated. It is recommended to update registration data at least every 2 years. Otherwise, the benefits offered may be interrupted.
By linking to the Single Registry, the citizen becomes part of the Government's database. From this base, the Government plans and distributes social programs in order to efficiently help families in need.
BCG (Pregnant Composition Benefit)
The BCG (Pregnant Composition Benefit) seeks to offer extra help to pregnant women registered in the Single Registry: In this benefit, pregnant women receive an additional amount of R$ 65.00 that will last for 9 months. That is, during the gestation period.
However, to receive the benefit, the pregnant woman must have regular prenatal care registered with the city's public health network, either through SISAB (Health Information System for Primary Care) or the Program System Brazil Aid in Health.
And if there is more than one pregnant woman in the family, the Government makes the extra payment for each one. However, each pregnant woman receives the benefit only once.
Extra value of Bolsa Família for pregnant women
Recently, President Lula released the rules and new composition of Bolsa Família. And among the highlights are:
- The minimum value of R$ 600 for each family registered in the program;
- For each child up to 6 years of age, an additional R$ 150 will be paid;
- For each child over 7 years old and young people under 18, an additional R$ 50 will be paid;
- For each pregnant woman in the family, an additional R$ 50 will be paid.
In other words, pregnant women enrolled in the Bolsa Família program will receive an additional installment of R$ 50. Therefore, if a family is made up of a couple, with the woman being pregnant, and a five-year-old child, the monthly amount of Bolsa Família will be R$ 800 (minimum amount of R$ 600 + additional amount of R$ 150 – for children under 6 years old + R$ 50 – additional amount for pregnant women).
