Payment of the New Bolsa Família, formerly Auxílio Brasil, began on Monday, March 20th.

The Government has already announced that it will cut 1.5 million people in March. See the complete calendar for March released by the Federal Government and when payments will take place.

The Bolsa Família 2023 calendar was sent to municipal managers with the program's operating dates and subsequently released to the general public. As happened in previous years, the calendar continues to release values on the last 10 business days of each month.

Until then called Auxílio Brasil, in March 2023 the program returns with the name Bolsa Família, as in the times of the PT governments. The launch of the New Bolsa Família officially took place on March 2nd.

The Bolsa Família 2023 calendar already takes into account the holidays scheduled for the year 2023, such as Carnival, Easter and Christmas, dates that influence the payment schedule of social benefits.

The value of the benefit is already guaranteed through the publication of an MP signed by President Lula that institutes the payment of an additional amount of R$ 200, maintaining the minimum value of the benefit at R$ 600 for each family. The additional installment of R$ 150 per child begins in calendar March.

The deadline for withdrawing from Bolsa Família remains 120 days, that is, 4 months after the date of deposit of the benefit into the account.

How to register?

Even with the return of Bolsa Família, the way to enter the program must remain the same, that is, through registration in the Single Registry (CadÚnico).

Registration must be carried out at city halls where a Family Guardian must seek out the sector responsible for registration in the municipality, which is generally carried out by CRAS (Social Assistance Reference Center).

Families are also subjected to a selection carried out by Dataprev's computerized system that considers, in addition to the program conditions, the number of families served in the municipality and the budget limit available in Bolsa Família.

To be approved for Bolsa Família, the head of the family must prove:

  • Per capita income of up to R$ 105.00 per month;
  • Per capita income between R$ 105.01 and R$ 218.00 per month, provided they have children or adolescents aged 0 to 17 years.

The criteria for remaining in the program still remain:

  • In the case of pregnant women, attendance at prenatal consultations, according to the calendar recommended by the MS (Ministry of Health);
  • Participation in educational activities offered by the Ministry of Health on breastfeeding and healthy eating, in the case of inclusion of nursing mothers (mothers who breastfeed);
  • Keep the vaccination card for children aged 0 to 7 years up to date;
  • Monitoring the health of women aged 14 to 44;
  • Guarantee minimum school attendance of 85%, for children and adolescents aged 6 to 15, and attendance of 75%, for adolescents aged 16 and 17.
