The Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fight Against Hunger and the Federal Public Defender's Office (DPU) signed an agreement this Monday (13) providing more information on what the new Bolsa Família will be like from March onwards.
The main change in value of the program will be the increase of R$ 150 for families with children under 6 years old. To this end, the Union will carry out a rigorous fine-tooth comb in the Single Registry.
The promoted event served to outline what the new social program will be like. The DPU already showed data since 2020 informing the government that people were receiving assistance without meeting the requirements. This must now end.
What will the new Bolsa Família be like?
According to Minister Wellington Dias, the government has evidence that 2 million are receiving Bolsa Família irregularly. Therefore, anyone who does not meet the requirements or whose registration is out of date for more than 2 years runs a serious risk of missing their next payment.
Check out the main information about what the new program will be like:
- The standard benefit will continue to be paid with a minimum value of R$ 600 per family;
- An additional R$ 150 per child will start to be paid for children up to 6 years old;
- The Gas Aid of R$ 110 continues to be paid every 2 months;
- To remain in the group, beneficiaries will need to update their registration in CadÚnico with city halls and municipal CRAS. This requirement will be required and anyone who does not update may lose their payment;
- Mothers will need to keep their children's vaccination cards up to date, in addition to proving their children's school attendance;
Even with cuts, new registrations can be made. Thus, the government hopes to provide more opportunities for vulnerable families who are not yet part of the program.
Registration for the new program
New registrations must be opened to fill the vacancies that will become available with the fine-tooth comb that the Ministry of Development is carrying out. The registration process for Bolsa Família must be done at city halls.
CadÚnico is considered the gateway to social benefits. The system encompasses important information regarding the vulnerability conditions of families applying to receive a government social program.
To join the program, you must register with CadÚnico. In addition, they must prove that they are low-income and have a family income of up to R$ 210 per month per person, not be enrolled in any other social security program that exceeds the established maximum income, and be over 16 years old to be responsible for the family. The selection occurs automatically by the Federal Government.
CadÚnico is the gateway for families to government social benefits. Those who are not in CadÚnico do not receive it. See how registration in the system works:
- Go to CRAS: The first step is to elect a family representative. From there, he must go to the Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS) closest to his residence;
- Gather Documents: Present the identification documents of all family members and documents proving income (if any);
- Answer the Questionnaire: During the registration process, it is necessary to answer a questionnaire that analyzes the financial situation and the way the family lives;
- Receive the NIS: As soon as you complete the registration, the family will receive a NIS number (Social Identification Number);
- Queue: Finally, if your intention is to join the Bolsa Família payroll, it is important to mention that you will be on the waiting list to receive the benefit. However, only those who meet the requirements will join the program. Furthermore, the government needs to have budget availability to approve more beneficiaries.
The Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Combating Hunger is paying the February Auxílio Brasil payroll, which this month has the additional Vale-Gás.
Bolsa Família Calendar for 2023
The federal government has already released the payment dates for Bolsa Família beneficiaries in 2023. To find out the day on which the benefit hits the bank account, the family must check the last digit of their Social Identification Number (NIS), printed on the card . Always in the last ten working days of each month, Caixa will make payments, one day for each corresponding NIS.
- February 13th – deposit for those registered with final NIS 1;
- February 14th – deposit for those registered with final NIS 2;
