The fine-tooth comb has been keeping many people awake at night, who are currently receiving Auxílio Brasil, which will be called Bolsa Família again in March.

The Single Registry is the gateway to several social benefits from the Federal Government. Through it, the government can find out who can actually benefit from Bolsa Família, for example. However, the tool will undergo a thorough review by the current government.

The fine-tooth comb has been keeping many people awake at night who are currently receiving Auxílio Brasil, which will be called Bolsa Família again in March.

The Single Registry of Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico) grants access to 32 government social programs, as reported by the Ministry of Social Development (MDS).

The best-known social programs for low-income families are: Bolsa Família, Gas Aid, Pronatec, Social Tariff and Electricity, Continuous Benefit Payment (BPC), among others.

In order to register with the Single Registry, citizens must prove a monthly family income of up to half the minimum wage (R$ 651.00) per capita or a total of up to three minimum wages (R$ 3,904.00).

However, the fine-tooth comb may exclude from CadÚnico families that have some type of incorrect information or are receiving some benefit unduly.

Single Registry will undergo review in March

The fine-tooth comb through the database of those registered in the Single Registry, which will take place in March, aims to eliminate people who are on the payroll for benefits unduly. According to the government, this analysis will allow people who are truly entitled to benefits to be included.

Deletion via application

According to the Federal Government, there are a large number of Brazilians who are unduly included in the Single Registry. Therefore, a tool will be launched so that the person can be excluded by the application. They will be able to voluntarily remove themselves through the CadÚnico app.

If a person receives an undue benefit and does not request to leave, they may be removed from the database. Anyone who presents inconsistencies or errors in their information may also be excluded.

See the reasons that may exclude you from CadÚnico

  • Death of the family;
  • Refusal by the family to provide information to the program;
  • Court decision;
  • Family request;
  • Omission of information or false information provided by the family;
  • Failure to locate members for a period equal to or greater than 48 months. They are counted from the date of inclusion or last update, and management must record that they have searched for the family at least twice in that period.
  • Update the data
  • One of the recommendations given by the Federal Government is that citizens update their data in the Single Registry. This procedure must be carried out every two years. The requirement is mandatory and those who do not comply may have their benefits suspended by the public administration.
