Caixa releases withdrawal of R$ 6 thousand; see if you are eligible

Not long ago, Caixa Econômica Federal made a new FGTS withdrawal available. This release is about calamity looting, which benefits citizens who live in cities that have been drastically affected by a natural disaster and where the Civil Defense has declared a state of calamity.
In order for the worker to be entitled to a withdrawal of up to R$ 6,220.00, they must have a balance in their FGTS account and have not made any withdrawals for this reason in one year. The list of cities that have the amount released is communicated every Friday via the Caixa Econômica Federal website.

How to request a withdrawal from Caixa
See how to request the FGTS calamity withdrawal at Caixa:
- Click on “My withdrawals”;
- Choose “Other withdrawal situations”;
- Click on “Public calamity”;
- enter the municipality in which you live;
- Send the requested documents;
- Select the account where you want the money to be deposited;
- Send the request;
- If the withdrawal is approved by Caixa, the amount will be released within five business days, with the deadline for redemption being up to 60 days.
