PIS/PASEP quota withdrawals are now available for withdrawal. Edilson Carrogi, operating agent at Caixa Econômica Federal, published a press conference last Thursday (25) in which he gave information on how to consult and withdraw benefit quotas in 2022.

The audience that can withdraw quotas is not small: 10.6 million Brazilians can withdraw PIS/Pasep quotas. Carrogi recalled that it is important to differentiate the issue of the PIS/Pasep bonus from the PIS/Pasep quotas, as they are different functions and the quotas are intended for those who were formally employed between 1971 and 1988, therefore, elderly people.

The bonus is the amount granted annually to all workers who meet certain government requirements, such as earning up to two minimum wages per month. PIS quotas are the amounts for those who worked between the years mentioned above, since the employer collected the amounts at that time, the amounts were directed to a specific account that made up the assets that the employee could withdraw in certain situations by law.

The request for PIS/Pasep quotas can be made at any time, without a maximum period being set by applicable legislation, which establishes a specific date for withdrawal. 

The amounts were transferred to FGTS accounts in 2019 to date, as established by Law 3,932/19, to accounts other than FGTS accounts.

Those who worked under a formal regime, CLT (Consolidation of Labor Laws) or public servants between 1971 and 1988 (years between the formation of PIS/Pasep and the new Constitution) and who did not withdraw their quotas before are eligible.

For those who have a deceased relative with shares to receive, they will also be able to withdraw the funds. To do this, they must present an identity document and dependent certificate issued by an official Social Security body, identity of the beneficiary, selfie, PIS/Pasep/FGTS certificate issued by Social Security.

First, you need to download the FGTS application on your cell phone and log in to the platform. You must register an email address and contact number to register.

Through the FGTS Application, a notification will appear on the application's home screen when beneficiaries have amounts to receive.
