The project establishes a loan limit of up to 40% of the amount received from social assistance programs. The measure is expected to add R$ 77 billion to the economy.
This Thursday, 7th, the Federal Senate approved the Provisional Measure (MP) that expands access to loans granted to beneficiaries of income transfer programs, including Auxílio Brasil and Benefício de Prestação Continuada (BPC).
When will the loan be released through Auxílio Brasil and BPC?
When will the Auxílio Brasil and BPC loan be released? After approval by the Chamber of Deputies and now by the Senate, the proposal will be approved by the president before coming into force. Government estimates that access to credit will add R$ 77 billion in resources to the economy.
Expansion of the margin for INSS retirees and pensioners
In addition to extending the possibility of salary loans to Auxílio Brasil and BPC beneficiaries, the MP also increases the salary loan margin for the group of retirees and pensioners of the National Social Security Institute (INSS).
For the Group, the allowed margin must not exceed the limit of 45% of the value of the grants. The percentage is applied as follows:
- 35% Can be used in loans, leasing financing;
- 5% Can be used for payments or expenses purchased with a credit card;
- 5% Can be used with the so-called expense benefit card.
We must highlight that the margin for other salary loan beneficiaries must also increase from 35% to 40%, i.e.; public servants and CLT employees. The text also applies to military personnel, state personnel, including those in the Federal District, military personnel and paid inactive personnel.
