Is the government offering R$1,000 to micro-entrepreneurs?

Informal workers across the state of São Paulo can receive a benefit of R$ 1,000. To do this, the person must complete a business qualification course and become a MEI (Individual Microentrepreneur).

Thus, the proposal comes from the Bolsa Empreendedor program, an initiative that is part of the Bolsa do Povo program. The main objective of the project is to promote entrepreneurship among low-income young people throughout the state of São Paulo.

The Bolsa Empreendedor program

Bolsa Empreendedor is part of the Bolsa do Povo program and aims to support informal entrepreneurs in vulnerable situations in São Paulo. Therefore, the grant of R$ 1,000 will be divided into two installments of R$ 500.

Therefore, to receive this amount, you must complete a business qualification course lasting one week (with an average workload of 10 hours) and qualify as an Individual Microentrepreneur, if you are not already qualified.

Courses for Microentrepreneur (MEI)

The courses available are from the Empreende Rápido program in partnership with Sebrae and are carried out online. Instructions for accessing the course, such as date, time, access and virtual room, are sent via SMS or email from Sebrae.

Furthermore, the initiative is open to all unemployed or informal people, but it is worth highlighting that priority is given to low-income people, women, young people (18 to 35 years old), self-proclaimed black or brown people, indigenous people or PwD.

Therefore, to participate in the project you must be literate, over 18 years old, unemployed or MEI, and be a resident of the state of São Paulo.

How to register for Bolsa do Povo Empreendedor

Initially, registrations began in March and will run until October this year. Additionally, the program includes 130,000 job offers.

To register, simply register on the website and provide CPF, ID, Name, Date of Birth, NIS, Family Income, Education, Employment and CNPJ (if applicable).
