For those who have followed some basic rules that state the advance of income tax refunds, the concern is great. This happens because the value of the first shipment will occur next week on May 31st. To find out if you will be included in the first batch made by the Federal Revenue, you need to wait the release of the consultation portal.
As usual, queries regarding refund shipments will be made available one week before payment is made. The amount will be deposited on May 31st and the portal will give access to verification on May 24th. The data reported by the Federal Revenue is that the payment will be the largest in history, with the value of R$ 7.5 billion distributed.
There will be 4 million taxpayers pocketing the refund in the first shipment, with 95% being those who belong to the legal priority group, they are, the elderly who are over 60 years of age, people with some degree of disability and those in teaching, which is the largest source of income. This right is guaranteed by law to these people.
The other taxpayers correspond to 5% of those who were included, they are groups that strictly followed the measures informed by the Federal Revenue Service to be included in the first remittance of Income Tax reimbursement. As they sent their declarations by May 10th, they had the option of using the pre-filled version of the document, so they chose to receive the amount refunded via PIX.
How to check your Income Tax refund
Citizens who contributed have the option of checking whether they will be included in the Income Tax refund remittance through two channels. The first is through the My Income Tax app, and the other is through the IRS website.
- Go to the Federal Revenue website and click on “Income Tax”;
- Click on “Consult refund” and then “Start”;
- Enter your CPF number, date of birth and year of declaration;
- The system will inform whether the taxpayer was included in this batch.
Using the app, the process is simpler because when you log in, the system itself already identifies who the taxpayer is.
Refund schedule
The payment query will always be released one week before the refund is paid.
1st batch: May 31st;
2nd batch: June 30th;
3rd batch: July 31st;
4th batch: August 31st;
