The INSS will start paying the 13th salary in 2023 next week. The Federal Government decided to bring forward the payment of the Christmas bonus to INSS policyholders.
Approximately 30 million people will benefit from the aid, including those who receive retirement, accident benefit, imprisonment benefit, temporary disability benefit and death pension.
Payment will be made in two installments, the first being paid in May and the other being paid in June 2023. The benefits had an adjustment in value based on the new minimum wage, announced on May 1st.
The payment schedule is determined by the last digit of the insured person's INSS benefit number. The total amount to be transferred is R$ 62 billion. The 1st installment will be paid from May 25th to insured persons who receive up to ONE minimum wage, while insured persons who receive ABOVE this amount will receive the first installment only on June 1st.
The organization informed that the consultation of the value of the 13th salary paid this year will be available from May 21st, on Sunday. The 1st installment will be paid together with the benefits for the month of May and will correspond to the value of 50% of the benefit.
In June payments, policyholders must receive the 2nd installment with the remaining amount and discounts for those who pay IR (Income Tax).
Where can I check the benefit amounts?
The INSS 13th salary values can be consulted via the website – https://www.gov.br/inss/pt-br – or via the Meu INSS app.
To know the date on which the benefit is received, policyholders must pay attention to the benefit number, which is made up of ten digits. The 1st installment will be paid in May, with the new minimum wage value (value of R$ 1,320).
