INSS: See the calendar for the single installment of the 13th Salary

Retirees and pensioners from the National Social Security Institute (INSS) are entitled to the 13th salary, an additional amount relative to the income they had in the last year. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the federal government brought forward the payment of this right to the first half of the year to allow the population to have access to the amount that boosts the economy.

In May this year, the first installment of the 13th INSS salary was released, where more than 30.5 million people were able to access the payment. The credit was distributed across two calendars, with transfers typically in May and then June. But it could also be those who received a social security salary from May onwards.

In this case, it is expected that the 13th installment will be paid from November 25th, when payment for the month in question begins. The amount to be transferred depends on the insured's income and the months in which they receive social security payments.

Access to the value of the INSS 13th salary is allowed to those who have been receiving benefits for more than 30 days. This payment is expected to be made in a single installment to be paid in the penultimate month of the year, as was the case before the advance was approved in the country.

However, the first installment was always paid in the first half of the year, that is, in mid-June and August. While the second and final installment of the additional salary reached INSS retirees and pensioners at the end of the year, generally in December.

As the Covid-19 pandemic has already ended, there is no information about the INSS 13 payment schedule for 2023. The advance will only be made if the federal government approves, as the resources for this payment are already guaranteed.
