With the development of technology, it has become much more accessible for policyholders to request INSS services. Did you know that it is possible to apply for retirement online, on the institution's website or app in just a few “clicks”? And truth! Registration is done through the Meu INSS portal, completely online.

For the correct analysis of the application, it is necessary to provide all data on your work history, such as employment relationships and contribution periods, which are not registered in the INSS system.

Currently, the Meu INSS website has more than 90 services. You can consult, request and even track the progress of orders online.

How to apply for retirement online?

The insured person who intends to request a pension through Meu INSS must first register on the platform. The second step is to check the regularity of the INSS contribution period at the CNIS. The third tip is to scan the documents necessary for the application, which makes the process easier.

Important: Calculating the intended benefit is fundamental, as it gives the insured an idea of the type of pension that can provide more benefits and its value.

See the step-by-step process for applying for retirement online:

  • Access the Meu INSS platform;
  • Log in to your account;
  • Choose the option “Request retirement”;
  • Select the desired type of retirement (by age, contribution period, special, among others);
  • Answer the questionnaire about your professional life;
  • Fill in the information and attach the requested documents;
  • Enter the zip code where you live. This information is necessary for the platform to indicate the nearest service station. A field for bank details will also appear;
  • Check that everything is correct, select the option that states that all data has been read and confirm;
  • Finally, click next.

What documents are required?

Check below the documents to present when requesting your retirement:

  • Copy of identity document and CPF or CNH;
  • Work Card with employer history;
  • CNIS – National Register of Social Information. This document must contain all collections made by the insured with their respective values;
  • Proof of residential address;
  • Written request;
  • Proof of special activity time, if applicable;
  • Proof of activity abroad, if applicable;
  • Proof of rural activity, if applicable.

If it seems better, or to avoid mistakes when requesting the pension, the insured person can also consult a lawyer specializing in social security.

The insured thus guarantees the most advantageous performance and is not exposed to the risk of damage due to the absence of any information or incorrect data.
