The INSS launched the Meu INSS+ virtual card on Monday, the 22nd. The novelty, in partnership with the Ministry of Social Security, seeks to offer more inclusion and advantages to policyholders through a partnership with Banco do Brasil and Caixa Econômica.

Little information is known about the new platform. According to the agency, the card will be made available by Dataprev on the Meu INSS app and will be completely virtual.

“The virtual card represents more citizenship, partnership, inclusion and a better quality of life for retirees, pensioners and Social Security beneficiaries”, highlights Carlos Lupi, Minister of Social Security.

The My INSS+ virtual card

The virtual card should grant retirees and pensioners some advantages such as: discounts on cinemas, shows, gyms, stores, discount coupons on travel, telemedicine, and others.

At Banco do Brasil, benefits will also be available to those who are not bank account holders. At Caixa, the advantages will be exclusively for those who receive retirement or benefits from the institution.

“In this first moment, the partnership It will be with Banco do Brasil and Caixa Econômica, but we will look for other banks and public and private entities to join “Meu INSS+”, adds Glauco André Fonseca, interim president of the INSS.

It is estimated by the INSS that more than 400 thousand citizens access the app or the site of Social Security to issue the benefit declaration in PDF format. The Meu INSS+ beneficiary card will be aimed at this audience who, in addition to proving their connection with the INSS, will be able to take advantage of the “advantages club”.

The beneficiary's card is a document proving receipt of Social Security benefits and aims to facilitate access to social security data useful in the day-to-day lives of the insured. Furthermore, the opportunity was identified to allow policyholders to have access to benefits and advantages to be offered through public and private entities“, explains Ailton Nunes.
