The Ministry of Labor and Social Security will release two more installments of R$ 1,000 of Truck Driver Assistance next Tuesday (6). According to the agency, by 6pm on August 29th, the deadline announced by the government for registration, 129,788 transport companies had already submitted their self-declaration.

For this group, the 1st and 2nd installments of Truck Driver Assistance (for the months of July and August) will be deposited on September 6th. The third installment is scheduled to fall on September 24th if all criteria are met.

The deadline for submitting the self-declaration and receiving the first two installments of the benefit ended on August 29th. However, last Thursday (1), the Ministry of Labor announced that this deadline would be extended until September 12th.

Carriers who register during this period will therefore receive three installments (1st, 2nd and 3rd) of R$ 1,000 on September 24th.

In the first phase, more than 190,000 transporters were eligible to receive the emergency benefit. At this point, the government had received more than 848,333 applications, but only 595,829 were found eligible. This group was further reduced to 190,000 truck drivers who began receiving benefits on August 9.

The remainder of those qualified, 399,664 transporters, did not have a record of road freight transport operations in the period from January 1st to July 27th, 2022. The solution in this case is to issue the TAC self-declaration within the deadline established by the government.

Truck Driver Assistance registration process

The self-declaration of the TAC Registration Term must be carried out by professionals with “active” registration in the National Registry of Road Cargo Transporters (RNTR-C) of the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) on July 22, but who did not have registration of road freight transport in 2022.

Professionals identified in this situation will be notified in the Ministry of Labor and Pensions (MTP) systems and will be able to self-declare through the same channels. The query can be made through the Emprega Brasil portal – https://servicos.mte.gov.br – with the Gov.Br login or through the Digital Work Card application.

When self-declaring Truck Driver Aid, the transporter must declare that he meets the legal requirements for receiving Emergency Aid and is able to carry out regular road transport of goods, in addition to informing RENAVAM of the vehicles that have been registered with ANTT.

Self-declaration of Truck Driver Assistance through the Application:

Originally, for security reasons, the government required the Silver Level or Silver Seal in the Gov.br account for the transporter to self-declare the TAC registration period. On August 29, the government began allowing access to the document also for those with Bronze Level accounts.

When creating an account on the Gov.Br portal, this registration automatically receives the Bronze Level. To change the level and obtain the Silver Seal of Reliability, the citizen must use the SOU GOV.BR application and follow the instructions on the Authorization for Use of Personal Data – Service: Gov.br Reliability page.
