Caixa began paying the PIS/PASEP bonus in 2023 this Wednesday, February 15. The salary bonus will reach 23 million workers in the private sector and the public sector. Caixa pays those who had a formal employment contract in 2021. Pasep is paid by Banco do Brasil for public servants.
Those who will have the deposit made into their accounts this Wednesday are those born in January and February (PIS) and those with a registration number ending in 0 (Pasep).
Not everyone receives PIS/PASEP. This is because the main requirement to be entitled to the benefit is to have received only up to the limit of 2 minimum wages in the base year (2021).
The PIS and PASEP calendars are different. While one (PIS) uses the month of birth to make deposits, Pasep follows the final registration number of the server in Pasep.
The PIS/PASEP 2023 consultation is available via the Digital Work Card app or the Gov.br portal. Through the digital CTPS app, workers can consult information about employment contracts, average salary, period worked and the PIS or PASEP number.
The CTPS application is available for download in Android and IOS versions.
Another way to find out if you are entitled to the salary bonus is by calling the Ministry of Labor and Social Security on channel 158.
Furthermore, by accessing the Caixa Econômica Federal website, workers can check their PIS using their CPF or NIS number.
The same query can be made in the Caixa Trabalhador app, available for download in the app stores for Android phones and also for iPhone (iOS)
PIS calendar for 2023
The 2023 PIS Calendar begins on February 15th. The release of funds is made according to the month of birth of the workers and starts with those born in January and February. Those who have an account at Caixa will receive the credit automatically; the others will have an account opened at Caixa Tem. Who receives it? Those who worked with a formal employment contract in 2021 and received, on average, up to two minimum wages will receive the PIS in 2023. In addition, you must have been registered with PIS/PASEP for at least five years to be entitled to the bonus.
