PIS/PASEP: 2023 calendar starts on February 15; See the dates

The Board of the Workers Support Fund (Codefat) approved the payment schedule for the PIS/PASEP 2023 salary bonus for the base year 2021.

The Council of the Workers Support Fund (Codefat) approved the payment schedule for the PIS/PASEP 2023 salary bonus for the base year 2021. The withdrawal of the benefit should benefit around 23.6 million workers, totaling R$ 24.4 billion.

The calendar will start on February 15th for those born in January, and will continue until those born in December, who receive it on July 17th. Withdrawal will be available until December 28, 2023.

Payment of the benefit to workers in private companies that are part of the PIS (Social Integration Program) will be carried out by Caixa Econômica Federal. For public sector workers who are part of PASEP (Salary Allowance Public Servant Assets Formation Program), payment will be made by Banco do Brasil.

Who can receive PIS/PASEP?

Workers who meet the rules below are entitled to receive the salary bonus:

  • Be registered in the PIS/PASEP or CNIS program for at least 5 years;
  • Have worked for employers that contribute to PIS (Social Integration Program) or PASEP (Public Servant Assets Training Program);
  • Have received up to 2 average minimum wages of monthly remuneration during the period worked;
  • Have performed paid work, for at least 30 days, consecutive or not, in the base year of calculation (2021);
  • Have the data duly informed by the employee in RAIS (Annual Social Information List) or in eSocial for the base year considered for calculation (2021).

Who cannot receive the allowance?

It is important to highlight that they cannot receive PIS/PASEP 2023:

  • Domestic worker;
  • Rural workers employed by individuals;
  • Urban workers employed by individuals;
  • Workers employed by natural persons equivalent to legal entities.

How do I check the benefit?

If you have questions about your right to receive PIS/PASEP 2023, and how much you will receive from the allowance, you can call 158. In addition, you can also download the Digital Work Card app (available for Android and iOS) to make the query.

After downloading the application and logging in, you need to click Benefits and, soon after, in Salary Allowance. On the next screen, the citizen will know whether he is eligible to receive the benefit or not. Furthermore, private sector employees can also consult through the Caixa Trabalhador and Caixa Tem applications. 

For workers linked to PASEP, it is possible to consult through the Banco do Brasil link. It is still possible to call the Banco do Brasil Customer Service Center (4004-0001 for capitals and metropolitan regions, or 0800 729 0001, inland).
