INSS review: Retirees can receive 4 times more payment

The INSS Lifetime Review or just INSS Review is closer for retirees and pensioners. Recently, the Federal Court voted on changes that have the potential to guarantee greater benefits for those who contributed before 1994.
In March, there was a virtual plenary vote among the members of the court that guaranteed victory for the merit analysis of the INSS review. The margin was tight, with 6 yes votes and 5 no votes. At the time, the vote of the now retired minister Alexandre de Moraes guaranteed a positive opinion of the project, which promises to change the lives of many people.
However, in an attempt to reverse this result, Minister Nunes Marques asked that decision-making be delegated in person to the plenary. In this case, the vote would have to be restarted from scratch, which could change the course of the previous opinion, as Alexandre de Moraes' vote would not be taken into account.
Fortunately, the STF announced a new understanding, so that the vote that took place in the virtual plenary can continue in the physical plenary without the need for changes. That said, the STF's new decision will maintain the votes already cast, increasing the chances of approval of the life review for INSS retirees.
What is the INSS Lifetime Review? Who can apply?
The INSS Lifetime Review (INSS Review) applies to people who retired from 1999 onwards, but contributed to Social Security before 1994. This is because the INSS determined at the time that contributions below that year would not be used, a fact that the STF intends to change upon approval of the project.
The INSS review, therefore, provides for the inclusion of all contributory hours worked by insured people before 1994. This allows many people to improve their benefit calculation and guarantee the long-awaited salary increase.
The revised calculations are expected to benefit taxpayers who had high salaries before 1994. This means the group is made up of people who had high salaries before the plan was implemented in reais this year.
Depending on the situation, increases can reach 4 times the salary, with a correction upwards of 30 in benefit levels.
How do I request an INSS Review?
Those interested in the review must take legal action to a lawyer specializing in social security law.
But before making this decision, the tip is to carry out calculations and simulations on the values to find out whether it is worth taking action.
