Families participating in the Auxílio Brasil program will not receive installments of R$ 600 in advance. The information was confirmed by the Ministry of Citizenship, which highlighted that payment should start from September 19th, according to the usual calendar.
After August payments were brought forward by the government, beneficiaries expected that this month's deposits would also be brought forward. However, the Citizenship department, responsible for operationalizing the payment of the benefit, confirmed that the change of dates should not happen.
In an interview with the program A Voz do Brasil in mid-August, Ronaldo Vieira Bento, Minister of Citizenship, even indicated the possibility of the government bringing forward the next calendars until the end of 2022.
According to information on the JOTA website, one of the reasons that the September calendar was not brought forward was the difficulty in obtaining data on compliance with Auxílio Brasil standards, such as information on vaccination and school attendance.
Conditionalities are considerations required by law for the family to receive the benefit over the months. Therefore, if one of the criteria is not met, the payment cannot be approved.
Other obstacles, such as problems encountered by Caixa when making digital payments, as well as the task of clearing the program waiting list, would also influence payment delays. Behind the scenes, information was circulating that the Citizenship department intended to add 803,000 new families to the September payroll.
Brazil Aid in the month of September
The expectation was that the new payment schedule would be published in the Official Gazette this week and start on Friday, September 9th, as happened in August.
Without the possibility of bringing forward the benefit, the installments of R$ 600 will be paid on September 19th, for beneficiaries with final NIS 1.
In September, the schedule will release payments to beneficiaries from the 19th to the 30th, when the last group receives the month's installment. See the calendar scheduled for this month:
