Last Friday, the 16th, Caixa Econômica announced a change in payments under the Auxílio Brasil program. Without the anticipation expected for the first half of September, the Bank responsible for transferring the benefit changed the dynamics for withdrawing the benefit for two groups of program beneficiaries.

Now, this September, those enrolled in the program who have their installment deposited on Monday will be able to move the amounts from the previous Saturday. The measure is already valid for the new payroll that begins on the 19th, Monday.

Thus, beneficiaries who have final NIS 1 already had the amount of R$ 600 deposited last Saturday, the 17th. The change will also alter the receipt for those registered with final NIS 6, where payment is scheduled to take place on next Monday, the 26th.

The information, released in a note to Agência Brasil, came out one day before the start of payments of R$ 600. The transfer for the month of September will cover a total of 20.65 million people, after the admission of 450 thousand new families to the payroll of payments this month.

According to the bank, the change will be permanent and will also apply to other Auxílio Brasil payments until the end of 2022.

This month the measure affects groups with final NIS 1 and 6, payments for which are made on Mondays. For others, the calendar follows the regular dates defined by the Ministry of Citizenship.

Payments in September will be available to a new group from Tuesday (20), when beneficiaries with final NIS 2 receive them. Caixa continues to release the payment of R$ 600 to a new group each business day, completing the September schedule.

Next Saturday (24), withdrawal of the benefit will now be available to those registered with final NIS 6.

The anticipation of Auxílio Brasil in September was awaited by beneficiaries after the month of August was brought forward to the first fortnight.

With the expectations of the beneficiaries, the Ministry of Citizenship reported that it was not possible to bring forward the calendar in September due to difficulties in obtaining data on compliance with Auxílio Brasil rules and the inclusion of new families on the payroll.

New Auxílio Brasil card

As new families are included in the program, the government continues to distribute new Auxílio Brasil cards. The new version now has a magnetic chip that allows the user to use the balance for payments using the debit function and withdraw amounts in cash at ATMs, lottery outlets, Caixa Aqui correspondents and 24HS banks.
