The new rules for Bolsa Família 2023 have already been published. The new version of the program was launched by President Lula on Thursday, 2, and brings updates to the format of the program that was established in his first term as president, in 2003.
After almost 18 years of existence, and having been replaced by Auxílio Brasil for a year, the return of Bolsa Família brings new values, requirements and income criteria for the entry of families in vulnerable situations.
Now, with the publication of the MP that changes the rules of the program, Brazilians who can prove a monthly per capita income (per person) of up to R$ 218 can receive Bolsa Família. The income range becomes unique, unlike the old Aid Brazil, which determined extreme poverty (up to R$ 105) and poverty (R$ 210).
“With the new legislation, all families with an income of up to R$ 218 per person will have access to the program“, said the Government statement. The selection of families remains through the Single Registry (CadÚnico) and considers the poverty estimate, number of families served in each municipality and the program's available budget limit.
From March 2023, families with children up to 6 years old will receive an additional amount of R$ 150 per child, without an additional limit. Minister Wellington Dias confirmed that there will be no limit to the payment of the additional installment of R$ 150 per child up to six years of age. Thus, anyone who has 3 children aged 0 to 6 years will receive an additional R$ 450 per month, in addition to the minimum benefit value of R$ 600.
Consult the benefit using the CPF
Soon, the Government should launch an updated version of the Bolsa Família application for 2023. For now, families continue to use the Auxílio Brasil application to check payment data, calendar and find out if they have been approved to receive the benefit.
Another way for people to find out if they have been approved to receive Bolsa Família in March is to consult via the App or the CadÚnico website.
By logging in with their CPF and password, the family responsible has access to various services, such as consulting the family's registration, the members' NIS number, the family's income range and can also check the last time the registration was updated. it was made.
How to register for Bolsa Família 2023?
As mentioned previously, there were no changes to the way of registering with Bolsa Família. Families interested in participating in the program must be registered in the Single Registry and, if they meet the requirements to receive the benefit, they will be automatically selected by the Government.
This way, it is not necessary to register to be approved for Bolsa Família, just be registered with CadÚnico and keep the members' data updated. Currently, to register with CadÚnico, the family needs to prove that they are part of one of these groups:
- Have a monthly income of up to half the minimum wage per person (R$ 606.00); or
- Have a total monthly income of up to three minimum wages (R$ 3,636.00): or
- Have an income greater than three minimum wages, as long as registration is linked to inclusion in social programs in the three spheres of government.
Registration in the Single Registry must be carried out by a family member who is over 16 years old, preferably a woman, and who will be responsible for providing all information about the family nucleus and keeping the data updated every 2 years.
At the time of registration, the family responsible must present the following documents for registration:
For the family responsible:
- CPF or Voter ID.
For other family members:
- Any of the documents of each family member: Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, CPF, ID, Work Card or Voter ID.
