At the end of Friday (16), Caixa Econômica Federal announced that the Auxílio Brasil payment schedule will return to early September. The amounts will be advanced in two days and beneficiaries who receive payments on Mondays will receive payments on Saturdays. The measure will benefit two groups, those who have NIS ending in 1 and 6.

As a result, today (17), beneficiaries with final NIS 1 are already receiving payment. Caixa's official calendar indicated that the amounts for this group would only be paid on Monday (19). They will receive the amount directly into their account. The same applies to those who receive it next Monday, with the final NIS 6.

The anticipation of the calendar was confirmed by Caixa and published in a note by EBC, a state-owned communications company. This will be the 2nd installment with an updated value of R$ 600.

Caixa announced that from now on all payments that would fall on Monday will be brought forward to the Saturdays prior to that date.

In this way, the benefit payment measure will be permanent and not exceptional as occurred in the month of August when the amounts were brought forward to the 9th.

Inclusion of new families to the program

The Auxílio Brasil program included new Brazilian families in situations of financial and social difficulty. In September, the federal government's main income transfer program reached the mark of 20.65 million beneficiaries per month. And in the month of August, 20 million families received the benefit

Compared to the previous month, there was an increase of 2.2% with more than 450 thousand families benefiting. This month the average value of Auxílio Brasil is 607.52 and can reach up to R$ 741.48 depending on the region of the country. The total transfer of the program for the month of September will be R$ 12.47 billion.

Who can receive Auxílio Brasil?
