Payments of the 13th INSS salary for retirees and pensioners will begin next week. The Government announced at the beginning of May the anticipation of the 2023 calendar, as happened in the last two. The anticipation of the 13th INSS came out shortly after the announcement of the new minimum wage adjustment, which went from R$ 1,302 to R$ 1,320.

Thus, the 13th salary in 2023 will be paid in advance now in the months of May (payment of the 1st installment) and June (payment of the 2nd installment), together with the payroll benefits for the respective months. The 1st installment begins to be deposited from May 25th for insured people who earn up to ONE minimum wage, and on June 1st for insured people who earn MORE than that.

The payment order always follows the final number of the Beneficiary's Card, without considering the check digit (number that follows the dash).

The payment of the first installment of the 13th INSS includes an additional amount of 50% of the benefit amount, without any discount. Therefore, policyholders who receive ONE minimum wage will receive the amount of R$ 660. Discounts, for policyholders who pay income tax, for example, will only be included in the second installment.

Consultation of the 13th salary is anticipated

Scheduled to be made available on Sunday, the 21st, consultation of the value of the 1st installment of the 13th INSS is now available from Friday, the 19th. Retirees and pensioners can consult the amount to be received through the Meu INSS application .

Payments of the 13th INSS salary (also called Natal Bonus) are always made in two installments for all insured persons who, in 2023, received some benefit offered by Social Security, such as retirement, temporary disability aid, accident benefit, imprisonment or death pension.

Policyholders who receive any assistance benefit such as BPC (Continuous Payment Benefit) or RMV (Lifetime Monthly Income) cannot receive the extra INSS benefit.

Calendar of the 1st installment of the 13th INSS

Paid together with the benefit for May, the 13th INSS salary will release the first installment from May 25th and will continue until June 7th for insured people who earn UP TO one minimum wage (value of R$ 1,320) .

For policyholders who receive an amount ABOVE the social security minimum, INSS 13th payments will be deposited in June between the 1st and 7th, according to the calendar below:

The 2nd installment of the 13th INSS will be released together with the benefits for the month of June according to the calendar that starts on 06/26 for insured people who receive UP TO one minimum wage.

A week later, from July 3rd, policyholders who earn ABOVE R$ 1,320 will receive the benefit. See the dates below:

It is important to mention that discounts are included in the 2nd installment. It corresponds to the difference between the total value of the allowance and the value of the advance installment in the month of April. Some policyholders will receive a lower amount in the second installment, due to the IR (Income Tax) discount.

It is also possible to check the amount of the allowance through the Meu INSS website, which requires a Gov.BR account to access the services. After logging in, policyholders will be able to access the detailed payment statement with the amount to be deposited, or via the INSS Call Center, at number 135.
