President Lula brought forward payments of the 13th INSS 2023 salary for retirees and pensioners on May 4, after the new minimum wage adjustment for this year was announced, which is R$ 1,320.

Deposits of the INSS extra allowance are made in 2 installments and in the last 3 years payments have been advanced to the 1st semester. Generally, the funds were deposited into the insured's account between the months of August and November.

For 2023, INSS 13th payments will be advanced for the months of May and June, along with the benefits for each month for more than 30 million insured people. The 1st installment begins to be deposited from May 25th, Thursday, for those who receive the benefit worth ONE minimum wage. The consultation has already been opened and is available via the app.

Who can receive the 13th salary from INSS?

All insured persons who, during 2023, received retirement, temporary disability benefit, accident benefit, imprisonment benefit or death pension will be able to receive the 13th INSS. The decree was officially published in the DOU (Official Gazette of the Union) on May 5th, Friday.

Policyholders who receive BPC (Continuous Payment Benefit) or RMV (Lifetime Monthly Income) are not entitled to the benefit.

Calendar of the first installment of the 13th for 2023

The first installment of the 13th INSS will be paid from May 25th and continues until June 7th for insured people who receive benefits of up to ONE minimum wage (R$1,320).

Policyholders who receive amounts above the social security minimum will have the first installment of the 13th INSS paid between the 1st and 7th of June, according to the calendar below.

The payment of the second installment of the 13th INSS will be deposited together with the benefit for the month of June, according to the calendar that starts on 06/26 for insured people who receive benefits worth one minimum wage.

A week later, from July 3rd, the group that receives benefits above the minimum wage will receive the second part of the benefit. See the calendar:

Value of the 13th INSS salary

The 1st installment of the 13th INSS will correspond to 50% of the value of the benefit that the insured will receive in May. In other words, retirees who receive a minimum wage monthly will receive the 1st installment of the bonus in the amount of R$ 660.

The 2nd installment, with the deposit scheduled for June, will correspond to the difference between the total amount of the allowance and the amount of the advance installment in April. For this reason, some policyholders will receive the second part of the benefit at a lower value, due to the income tax discount.

Consultation through the application

Checking the value of the 13th INSS salary will be available in the statement for the month of May, and can be done via the Meu INSS app.

Another way to check the amount of the allowance is through the Meu INSS website, which requires a Gov.BR account to access the services. After logging in, the beneficiary will be able to access the payment statement with details of the amount to be received.

It is also possible to consult via telephone through the INSS Customer Service Center, at number 135. After providing the CPF and confirming the data, the value can be consulted. Service through the Center is available from Monday to Saturday, from 7am to 10pm.
