Dataprev recently reprocessed the data, resulting in the inclusion of an immediate withdrawal in the amount of R$ 1,320 for a larger number of workers. The PIS (Social Integration Program) payment schedule, which began on February 15, 2023, will cover more than 23 million workers.
Due to the reprocessing, more than 2.7 million workers will be able to make a retroactive withdrawal of R$ 1,320 from PIS/PASEP. Caixa Econômica Federal (CEF) confirmed payment for employees of private companies linked to PIS.
Who can receive retroactive PIS amounts?
To receive retroactive PIS amounts, you must first check whether you are entitled to the Salary Allowance in the reference year, which in this case is 2021. The rules for eligibility are still the same as in recent years. Therefore, it is necessary to meet the following criteria:
- Be enrolled in the PIS/PASEP program for a minimum period of 5 years;
- Have worked with a formal contract for at least 30 consecutive days or not;
- Have received up to 2 minimum wages on average in the base year (2021);
- Have the data properly informed and updated in RAIS (Annual Social Information List).
It is important to remember that just having worked for a few months during the reference year (2021) to receive payment is not enough. It is also necessary to have at least 5 years of registration, whether consecutive or not. Otherwise, the PIS will not be released.
